March 17th Update: In an effort to keep everyone as safe as possible in light of the ongoing uncertainties related to the novel coronavirus and COVID-19, we are temporarily suspending professional development classes held at Outreach’s facilities for the first few weeks, and future trainings may be subject for rescheduling. Please check our homepage regularly for more immediate updates related to the novel coronavirus and COVID-19.
Certified professionals can learn the latest evidence-based models, principles, and techniques in addiction and behavioral health treatment at Outreach Training Institute (OTI). Participants can earn CASAC hours, as well as Continuing Education Units for Social Workers and Mental Health Counselors.
OTI’s experienced team of trainers, the majority of whom work in the field, offer students an informative and valuable skills-building experience. Courses feature overviews of evidence-based practice models such as Seeking Safety and Motivational Interviewing, two of our most popular and in-demand courses.
- Courses are offered throughout the year at OTI’s Richmond Hill, Queens and Brentwood, Long Island campuses. Please visit our Professional Development Calendar for the most up-to-date information on training courses offered on campus.
- Faculty are also available to provide training “off campus” in settings within the community: schools, social service organizations, healthcare facilities, and more. Please see more information and our course listing of available opportunities here. If you and your employer are interested in hosting a professional development training at your workplace, you can directly request information and quotes by e-mailing the training institute director.
