Residential Adults

On May 1st, 2017, Outreach assumed sponsorship of the adult male community residence and outpatient substance abuse treatment program located on the grounds of the Pilgrim Psychiatric Center in Brentwood, Long Island.  The new Outreach Recovery Center (ORC), offers trauma-informed adult outpatient services, a safe and supportive residence for persons transitioning back to independent living following intensive residential or inpatient treatment, and a specialized treatment track for veterans.

The ORC adult male Community Residence is a 24-hour staffed, safe and supportive living facility for persons who have completed intensive residential or inpatient treatment and are transitioning back to independent living. The residence offers two-person rooms with single beds and on-site fitness equipment and laundry facilities.  Participation in the ORC outpatient program is required.

In ORC’s Adult Outpatient program, quality outpatient substance abuse treatment is provided using evidence-based, multi-phase models in individual and group counseling, with services including individualized treatment planning, gender-specific groups, trauma-informed care, medical screenings, psychiatric evaluations and weekly toxicology testing. In addition to these services, the Veterans’ Treatment track pays particular attention to the unique psychological and physical toll experienced by veterans of the armed forces. Enhanced service offerings such as veterans’ support groups, case management, vocational services and recreational space for socialization, job search, and more, give compassionate support in addressing PTSD and other life stressors resulting from service in the military.

Outreach’s residential services are licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). We accept Medicaid, Medicare, most insurance plans, and sliding scale payments.
