Eric Yagual
Eric Yagual graduated from Fordham University for Mental Health Counseling. He was able utilize his training and work with the Department of Education to provide services for the underserved and unhoused communities in all five of New York City’s boroughs. He then worked for Montefiore Hospital and Group Attachment Based Intervention (GABI) Program.
Eric received training from Anne Murphy and Miriam Steele in providing services to caregivers who struggled with their own traumas looking to change the life of their newborn children. With this focus on trauma, he was able to transition to in-home therapy and providing support to families who were struggling from their own experiences during the COVID-19 crisis. He then transitioned to providing leadership and supervision for staff on various levels of the mental health field.
Eric brings his experience and skills working with other not-for-profit organizations and in private practice to Outreach as the first Assistant Director and Lead Supervisor of the agency’s Richmond Hill Certified Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC).
