Donna Bornfriend, LCSW-R
Donna Bornfriend has over 25 years of experience working in addiction treatment. She joined Outreach in 2015 to launch the Women’s Enhanced Program at the Suffolk Avenue location, a program specializing in gender-specific, trauma informed care. Ms. Bornfriend moved from Program Coordinator to Assistant Director, and now serves as Site Director, where she oversees all daily operations and clinical aspects of the outpatient program. These include the Evening Outpatient Program, the Women’s Program and outpatient services provided to residents at our Reintegration program, the Forensic Track, the Spanish Language Track, the DWI program, as well as a Mental Health Satellite at Western Suffolk and Buckman clinics at Pilgrim State Psychiatric Center.
Prior to joining Outreach, Ms. Bornfriend spent 19 years at the Pederson-Krag Center. She worked with Co-Occurring Disorders and Young Adults, oversaw Vocational Rehabilitation Services and implemented Same Day Access. She served as Network Coordinator, Clinical Coordinator and then Director of Addiction Recovery Services. Ms. Bornfriend holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Psychology with a minor in Criminology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
