Outreach’s 43rd Annual Metropolitan Luncheon

Outreach’s 43rd Annual Metropolitan Luncheon A Success! Raising Vital Funds for Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment

The 43rd Annual Metropolitan Luncheon took place on Thursday, December 5th, at the iconic Cipriani 42nd Street, raising nearly $900,000 with over 700 guests in attendance. The funds raised will support Outreach’s evidence-based behavioral health treatment and training programs in New York City and Long Island.

“Thanks to the remarkable generosity of everyone who attended this year’s event, Outreach will continue to respond to the evolving and complex needs of young people and adults struggling with addiction and mental health issues,” said Debra Pantin, Outreach’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “With your support, we can provide highly effective, innovative, and person-centered behavioral health treatment services.”

This year’s Luncheon honored three outstanding Outreach supporters:

  • 2024 Humanitarian of the Year: Drew O’Connor, Senior Vice President, and Head of Commercial Property Management, Rudin
  • 2024 Labor Leader of the Year: Joseph A. Geiger, Executive Secretary-Treasurer, New York City District Council of Carpenters
  • 2024 Jim Berg Memorial Award: Gerry Chasin, Managing Director, Wealth Management & Institutional Consulting, The Chasin Group

The event also featured heartfelt remarks by Outreach’s President and CEO Debra Pantin, as well as an inspiring speech from Outreach graduate and U.S. Navy veteran Orlando V., who shared his recovery journey. The Luncheon was chaired by Daniel Kindbergh, Board Chair of Outreach Project Inc., and hosted by the 2024 Metropolitan Luncheon Committee.
