Outreach to Hold First Virtual Fundraising Event, “Rebuilding Healthy Lives – Hope & Courage”

Thursday, September 24th, Live Broadcast at 12 Noon

Outreach, New York’s leading nonprofit provider of life-changing behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment, will hold its 26th Annual Long Island Luncheon event online as the nonprofit’s first ever virtual fundraising campaign, “Rebuilding Healthy Long Island Lives – Hope and Courage.” The event will be held Thursday, September 24, 2020, with a live broadcast at 12 noon and repeat showing at 7 pm on Outreach’s social media platform on Facebook: (https://www.facebook.com/OutreachNY/) and on the organization’s event website (https://opiny.org/donate/li-hope-and-courage-2020/). Brian Edwards, a Member of Outreach’s Board of Directors, is the event Chair.

For more than 40 years, Outreach has offered premier behavioral health intervention, rehabilitation, and training programs at 10 facilities in New York City and on Long Island. The Hope and Courage campaign will help bolster the nonprofit’s mission to provide quality treatment for teens, adults, and families struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, and continue developing leading evidence-based behavioral health services.

“We are very excited about this year’s event. Although it is unfortunate, we could not hold our usual Long Island luncheon in person, we are grateful to have the opportunity to continue raising funds to serve our local communities — especially those affected by COVID-19 — through the Hope and Courage campaign,” said Debra Pantin, president and CEO of Outreach. “COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on individuals and families already struggling with addiction, and has exacerbated the already existing opioid epidemic. Now more than ever, we must come together to tackle these two unprecedented public health threats.”

All donations are welcome. Dedicated sponsorships  can be made online or via mail. For questions  or further information, please contact Marsha Radulov at 718-847-9233, ext. 2310, or marsharadulov@opiny.org.
