Outreach Providing Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Outpatient Treatment Services Via Tele-Practice During COVID-19 Crisis

Outreach reminds the community that its outpatient services have continued uninterrupted via tele-practice during the COVID-19 crisis.

“During this highly stressful time, it is important, now more than ever, to ensure that those in need of substance abuse and mental health treatment services continue to receive timely access to care,” said Debra Pantin, president and CEO of Outreach.

“For those who need our services, we are here, and our staff is doing its utmost to meet the needs of those who are suffering during this very difficult time,” said Pantin.

The agency reports that it offers same-day access to tele-health services on an easy-to-use platform. Services include:

  • Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), including induction
  • Psychosocial, Medical & Psychiatric Treatment
  • Individual and Group Counseling
  • Case Management Services
  • Vocational Services
  • Peer Services

Outreach, as always, offers care that is trauma-informed, person-centered and includes:

  • Trauma Informed Care
  • Relapse Prevention
  • Parenting Skills Groups
  • Anger Management Groups
  • Evidence-based practices including:
    • Motivational Interviewing
    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
    • Seeking Safety
    • Stages of Change

Outreach serves individuals and families in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island, though all current services are being provided virtually via tele-practice.

Outreach is currently unable to admit new clients to its adult residential programs due to State regulatory restrictions, but can admit new clients at its adolescent residential services programs in Ridgewood, Queens, and Brentwood, Long Island, following an assessment for clinical eligibility.
