Dr. Alicia Delgado-Gavin, Psy.D, MFT, CASAC-T
Dr. Alicia Delgado-Gavin joined Outreach in early 2026 as the Director of the Outreach Training Institute. She brings more than 18 years of experience in the social services field, supporting individuals and families impacted by a wide range of behavioral health and mental health challenges.
Dr. Delgado-Gavin earned her education at Hofstra University and specializes in marriage and family relationships, suicide prevalence and prevention, domestic violence awareness, and empowerment-based interventions. Her clinical work is grounded in supporting individuals with major mood and personality disorders, as well as those navigating substance use disorders.
In addition to her leadership role, Dr. Delgado-Gavin continues to provide counseling services to individuals, couples, and families, helping clients strengthen communication, develop healthy coping strategies, and foster positive growth within family systems. She is deeply committed to trauma-informed, client-centered care that emphasizes resilience and long-term healing.
Dr. Delgado-Gavin is also an experienced coach, mentor, and seminar facilitator. Through training and educational programming, she encourages individuals and professionals alike to seek support when needed, recognize unhealthy relationship patterns, and identify signs of emotional distress and pathways to care.
Beyond her clinical and training work, Dr. Delgado-Gavin is the author of Tears Behind the Smile, a book inspired by her personal experience as a survivor of domestic violence. She is passionate about amplifying unheard voices and believes in creating spaces where people feel empowered to acknowledge, express, and heal from their experiences. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to fostering hope, peace, and joy for individuals and communities.
