Our Commitment
Outreach’s Commitment to Building Healthy Lives
For over 40 years, Outreach has provided life-changing care to individuals struggling with substance misuse and related disorders. From its roots in New York City to its expansion across Long Island, Outreach has remained steadfast in its mission: to offer compassionate, high-quality treatment to anyone in need—regardless of background or ability to pay.
A cornerstone of Outreach’s approach is ensuring that every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. This philosophy informs every aspect of our work—with clients, staff, and the communities we serve.
At Outreach, we believe in fairness, inclusion, and respect for all. We understand that people come from different circumstances and face unique challenges, and we strive to meet those needs with kindness and integrity.
- We are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where everyone has a voice and can contribute to a safe and respectful atmosphere.
- We recognize the lasting impact of trauma and are committed to creating spaces where individuals can heal, grow, and thrive.
To further strengthen our services, Outreach adheres to the National Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Standards (CLAS) in Health Care. These standards help ensure that our programs are not only accessible and responsive but also shaped by the voices and experiences of those we serve.
In support of this commitment, Outreach appointed a Senior Vice President, a seasoned behavioral health leader with over 40 years of experience, to lead our planning and implementation efforts. The Senior Vice President oversees a 20-member committee representing all areas of the organization, from clinical teams to administrative staff. This group meets regularly to guide strategy, review best practices, and evaluate feedback from clients and staff through our annual survey process.
Together, these efforts help Outreach deliver coordinated, effective, and welcoming care to all who walk through our doors.
Promoting and upholding the organization’s mission, vision, and values is a foundational responsibility at Outreach. This team is comprised of dedicated change agents across the organization—is entrusted with ensuring these principles are fully integrated into all aspects of our work.
As outlined in its charter, the committee is committed to advancing equitable and inclusive practices that reflect Outreach’s core belief in providing high-quality, compassionate care for our clients and their families. Equally important is the committee’s role in fostering safe, healthy, and supportive environments for all Outreach staff, reinforcing our commitment to well-being, integrity, and continuous improvement.
