Susan Mrakovcic-Kane serves as Director of Outreach House I in Ridgewood, Queens where she manages staff, programming, and compliance, and oversees daily operations for the 36-bed drug and alcohol treatment program for adolescents.
Mrakovcic-Kane has nearly 20 years of experience in the substance abuse treatment field at Outreach House I. She joined Outreach in 1998 as an Orientation Counselor and later managed the facility as House Manager and Clinical Director. After receiving her license, she advanced to the position of Program Director.
Certified as a Licensed Master Social Worker, Mrakovcic-Kane received the Julio Martinez scholarship from the Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Providers of New York State. Additionally, Outreach recognized her contributions to the agency by naming her Employee of the Year in 2007.
Mrakovcic-Kane received her Master of Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work and her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from SUNY Plattsburgh. She is also SIFI-certified to supervise interns.
