As Director of Richmond Hill Outpatient Services, Jill Mastrandrea oversees compliance and quality assurance as well as manages staff and programming. She has experience as a mental health counselor and program manager in drug and alcohol treatment, and has therapeutic expertise with co-occurring disorders and the LGBTQ community.
Mastrandrea joined Outreach in 2014 as a Program Coordinator. She later transitioned into the role of Director of Greenpoint Outpatient Services where she oversaw outpatient programming at Outreach’s Brooklyn location, recognized by the community as specializing in Polish-language services. In 2017, Mastrandrea brought her expertise to Richmond Hill, Queens.
Before joining Outreach, Mastrandrea worked as Associate Program Director at Western Queens Recovery Services and as a therapeutic counselor for the Western Queens Consultation Center, where she facilitated individual and group therapy to adolescents, young adults, adults and their significant others in both English and Spanish.
Previously, Mastrandrea served as a Secretary for the Queens Consortium on Substance Abuse and Alcoholism. She also took part in the Women’s Mentorship Program with the New York State Association of Substance Abuse Providers and the Brooklyn Committee of Alcoholism and Addictive Services. Mastrandrea is a New York State licensed Mental Health Counselor, OASAS credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor, a National Certified Counselor and a New York State certified Recovery Peer Advocate.
Mastrandrea holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University, where she also received her CASAC education. A veteran presenter, Mastrandrea is an instructor for the Outreach Training Institute where she is also Lead Advisor at OTI-Brentwood, and an Adjunct Professor for Pace University. At Pace, she teaches courses in the graduate school’s Mental Health Counseling Program and other Master’s degree courses. Additionally, she presents at various local and statewide conferences and educational institutions.
