Carol Jobson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30 years combined experience in substance abuse, mental health, and adolescent treatment. She joined Outreach as Senior Director of Outpatient Services at Richmond Hill, Queens and Outreach’s REACT Center in Roosevelt, Long Island, which was newly added to the Outreach continuum of services in January 2020. At these diverse outpatient treatment sites, Jobson is responsible for clinical oversight and program development, overseeing operations, clinical programming, regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
Prior to joining Outreach, Jobson’s professional experience included supervising inpatient detoxification and outpatient substance abuse services at Woodhull Hospital, coordinating employee assistance programs for Amtrak National Rail Road, NY Division, and managing the Federation Employment and Guidance Service, Inc.’s (FEGS) Adolescent Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation Treatment (IPRT) program. Most recently, she was the Executive Director of REACT Center, immediately before its affiliation with Outreach. During her tenure at REACT, Jobson secured capital funding to purchase and renovate the facility that houses the outpatient substance abuse, domestic violence, sex offender and vocational programs.
Jobson believes that individuals and families affected by substance abuse and co-occurring mental health conditions can effect positive changes in their life, and have meaningful life experiences. A strong supporter of professional development of clinicians, she is also a passionate advocate for working with student interns as an avenue toward improving services for people in need.
Jobson received her Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Science from Adelphi University and completed her training in addiction studies at South Oaks Training Institute.
